Project workflow
At Salumco, we are a group of skilled and dedicated team members joined together to offer a professional, goal-oriented service. We understand your project’s needs. Our workflow strategy tackles the “big picture” and the small but crucial details, knowing when to concentrate on each.
A signed contract triggers the Operations Department to assign a qualified project manager, who will cultivate the team skills needed to develop the project and meet success criteria at a specified time.

Preparation and engineering works
Our technical engineers prepare the shop drawings, typical details, structural calculations, material submittals, material index list, and fabrication drawings based on Salumco high standards and the international system provider’s recommendations.
The project manager meets with the main contractor and consultant, if needed, to discuss the project details and requirements. In parallel, the team reviews in depth the tender drawings for any modifications and submits the concept design’s architectural drawings along with the related aluminum schedule as per the project’s conditions. The drawings presented cover the elevation, vertical and horizontal sections, location, and specifications of each item.
Upon shop drawings approval, the team prepares the material index list that includes all material references and quantities, such as aluminum profiles, gaskets, accessories, sealants, etc., in addition to the draft glass list. Once the “as-built” sizes are reviewed on-site, an exact glass cutting size list is submitted.
The team submits the samples and datasheets of all agreed-on aluminum systems, and its related glass and accessories, for approval.
The execution schedule is set, in coordination with the main contractor, and submitted to the consultant for approval.
The procurement team puts their order based on the approved material index list. These orders might be divided into several batches depending on the on-site work progress and execution schedule.
The team submits the samples and datasheets of all agreed-on aluminum systems, and its related glass and accessories, for approval.
The engineer/supervisor assigned for the project visits the site frequently to observe the existing conditions, arranges for mobilization and office setup, and sets an efficient logistic procedure for proper project execution. When needed, Salumco provides a detailed method statement for particular applications of complex items. Furthermore, a dedicated project engineer will be assigned for close follow up, supervision, and coordination.
When the site is ready, all openings are surveyed and measured for cutting lists preparation. These lists are applied in fabrication drawings and glass orders.
Fabrication, installation, and handing over
Aluminum profiles are protected using high-quality protection tape, avoiding any damage to the coating during fabrication, transportation, and installation processes. This tape is applied using special machines or manually.
Our highly skilled technicians at Salumco factory handle the fabrication process under the supervision of our well-trained and experienced foremen. Our QA/QC engineers inspect the whole process from fabrication to dispatch, making sure it follows the industry’s QA/QC standards.
Frames are transported to the site and kept in the storage area provided by the Main Contractor. All gaskets and accessories are carefully stored in their original packing in order to avoid any kind of damages such as scratches, moisture, and humidity.
Our professional technicians, overseen by our highly experienced supervisors, start the installation of the frames when the finishing works are in progress. In parallel, another team begins the glass installation.
Installation and logistic teams working on-site are supplied with a full gear of safety equipment.
